We all have to take responsibility for how we reuse and repackage. Christmas can be a wasteful time of year for many. Here’s some company Christmas tips that aren’t wasteful.
According to a study by waste management company Biffa, the UK creates approximately 227,000 miles of wrapping paper and 114,000 tons of plastic packaging.
As we close the year here are some tips from us to make sure that we all do our bit, rather than throwing tons of paper from the office Secret Santa in the bin:
- Keep the artificial tree in reception for next year (and the year after). Each year doesn’t need a new tree, all it needs is a bit of TLC.
- Secret Santa doesn’t have to be something that is an afterthought. Why not save waste and try a digital subscription? Audible and Spotify are always popular choices.
- If the Secret Santa gift isn’t for you, it’s better to re-gift it or take it to a charity shop, rather than leave it in the bottom of your drawer.
- You don’t have to buy new glasses for the Christmas party, you can borrow from Waitrose for free
Enjoy a waste free Christmas!
