The Brief
Loon Fung, a supermarket with a focus on oriental and Far Eastern goods, sited New Malden high street to locate their new flagship store. The vision was to create an aspirational design, to elevate the product offer and customer experience, creating a premium store environment, through carefully considered layouts and quality materials. We were engaged to develop the fixtures, fittings and equipment scheme in line with the new design concept, produced by CHD Design, without compromising on the intent.

The Project
Whilst the concept design was set, where it came to the FF&E, merchandising requirements, practicalities and technical detailing all needed to be developed and worked through. This was our starting point, and as an experienced retail specialist, our reason for engagement. Our remit included, the supply and installation of all perimeter and midfloor shelving, gondola units, bespoke fresh produce display and belted till counters. All of these items were developed in close consultation with the client team, Project Managers and with the designers. We engaged our trusted supply partners for the metalwork and joinery of bespoke items, whilst working with Nabo for the core system to provide a high-quality fit-out that delivered on the visual and operational intent.
Working with the client we were able to help them develop their merchandising strategy, by proposing different options and possibilities to meet their needs.
Drawing upon our in-house design team we drew up accurate store layout drawings, ensuring alignment to Nabco’s bay widths and heights and providing a true picture of available stock density.
