The Nest, Birdland

Client: Birdland Park & Gardens, Bourton-on-the-water

Value: £350,000

Duration: 10 weeks construction

The Brief

Birdland Park & Gardens were looking to upgrade their visitor attraction by adding a new restaurant, making good use of an aviary that needed renovation. The nature and previous purpose of the building would only add to the whole customer experience. Whilst converting this space it was key to retain some of the character of the original building, and adapt it to successfully accommodate its new inhabitants.

The Project

We were involved from the outset on this project. Our affiliated designers, Field, created the scheme whilst our operations team got underway with building feasibility and services appraisals. The extent of conditional build works that were required to safely convert the building for its new purpose, informed design developments and available investment for the interior fit out. Alongside creation of, The Nest, restaurant new facilities were also developed in an adjacent block, incorporating a ‘Changing Places’ facility.

I would recommend Resolution Interiors. They were really responsive to the original project requirements. They supported us and held our hand through the design process. From a budget perspective they were pretty much bang on the budget that we set initially and also for those little things that weren’t quite right, as we wanted them to be, they’ve resolved them satisfactorily to effectively a resoundingly successful project.
